Goofing around on the back porch with my 1970s Wildwood Troubadour.

Pretty simple really, we practiced this, never sang it in public, it was good fun figuring out the banjo part. Think we recorded it about 15 years ago, have fun if you like it, and thanks if you do. I'll post tab as well.

Chirps Smith is a legendary fiddler in my book. This Tune of the Week is an original by him, brought to my attention from Stephen Rapp, who with his fiddle-playing buddy Paul Kirk, brings us many good tunes. Though the tune is relatively new, it has a sweet old-time feel. I'm playing on a cello banjo to get to the original tuning that Chirps wrote Mississippi Palisades in.

My first MP3 post her, I hope it isn't a licensing violation. I didn't right this song, but wish I could write one this good.
