Played by Dean Mednick on a probable Ludwig tenor rim which I built into a 5-string. The rim is heavy bronze cast, nickle plated, with an integral rim. Originally it was top tension, but in the absence of the top tension ring, I converted it to regular hooks and nuts on a notched brass tension ring.
