Compilation of some of Earls breaks from radio shows.

A slow version of Little Maggie played on my 1928 Gibson Oriole conversion. It has a mahogany neck by Ron Coleman. Just wanted to record an update for posterity of how the banjo is settling in - the tone sounds better than ever. I've tried to edit the recording a bit to properly reflect the actual "real-life" tone of the jo.

Janet Burton and I got to talking and decided we needed to collaborate on a tune, so this is what came out. I recorded my track, sent it to Janet, then she added in her tracks. We are playing in the key of C. I am playing lead on an Enoch Dobson (gCGCD), and Janet is playing backup on her Gold Tone cello banjo and harmony (starts half we through) on her Gold Tone mini "Plucky. Janet tuned both her banjos to open G (gDGBD).

For the old-time Tune of the Week, 3/9/18, Jimmy in the Swamp comes from the fiddle playing of Nebraska great Bob Walters. It's in the key of G and I'm playing in guitar tuning gDGBE. Most banjo players play it in G tuning.
