Banjo Hangout Newest 100 Songs

When I was just a kid I used to watch the riverboats on the Mississippi. Just getting around to doing a banjo song about it.

Another song. This one based on a Mary Z Cox tab. Just me having fun

I do not know anything about John Short but the Midwestern fiddlers play this tune, Chirps, Ill-Mo Boys, usual suspects.

Based on the Mike Iverson Tab. Once again, not perfect, I've just decided that I would upload some recordings a bit more often to get some feedback. I've been playing for about 6 months.

I've decided that I would record more of my progress on this website. For one, it allows me to get some feedback. 2. I can come back in the future and compare.

Thanks for listening

Another multitracked effort by me recorded back in 2003.

Here is a multitracked version of the song, all parts played by me. I think I recorded it back in 2004.

Here is another multitracked version of the song. I played all the parts (partly to give me a reason to keep in shape on the other instruments). This was done several years ago - can't remember specifically when I did it, but I think it was around 2004 or thereabouts.

Here is a multitracked version of the song with all parts played by yours truly (partly because I was too cheap, like Scrooge, to hire other musicians and it was also fun to try to play the other parts anyway). I guess I only sold a few copies of my individually burned CD compilation of Christmas tunes so there wasn't any income to pay for other musicians (excuses, excuses). :-)
