The conflict between Mayor Harold McQuaker of Emo, Ontario, and Borderland Pride continues. 

The dispute, sparked by the Ontario Human Rights Commission's ruling against Emo Township for refusing a pride proclamation in 2020, led to the garnishing of the mayor’s bank account after he refused to comply with the tribunal’s demands.
