On this episode of Bank After Ball, we sit down with the Lorrie Fair Allen. Lorrie Fair Allen was the youngest member of the 1999 World Cup Champion U.S. women’s national soccer team and was also an Olympic Gold medalist and Olympic Silver medalist, and a three-time national champion at the University of North Carolina. Professionally, Lorrie played for the Philadelphia Charge in the WUSA, Olympique Lyonnais in France, and Chelsea FC in the U.K. Lorrie has extensive experience in sports development and has been a Sport Envoy for the U.S. State Department since 2009. She also co-founded Kickabout Africa 2010 and led an overland expedition from London to South Johannesburg to promote development efforts in Africa. She recently finished her Master of Public Administration from UNC's School of Government and currently serves as the Chief Program Director for the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP), whose mission is to invest in the youth of Africa and their ability to keep themselves and their peers safe from HIV.
