Ben and James are joined by NHS 24 Breathing Space and Living Life National Coordinator Tony McLaren on the first episode of Listen Up.

Tony is a mental health specialist and speaks about the effect lockdown has had on metal health, suicide awareness, coping with losing someone through suicide and many more topics in this important conversation.

Breathing Space was launched in 2002 to address serious concerns about the mental wellbeing of people in Scotland. The service became a national phoneline in 2004.

Breathing Space complements the work of other phonelines and agencies which are endeavouring to reduce suicide rates in Scotland. Their advisors come from a range of mental health, counselling and social work backgrounds.
