    Joseph – In God's Hands | Week 9
    HIS REDEMPTION IS PERFECT

Time has moved on, and the Israelites are now settled in Egypt, in the land of Goshen. Jacob, under Pharaoh’s protection, witnesses his family’s security and Joseph’s rise to power. But when Jacob finally dies, his sons fear that Joseph’s vengeance will finally fall upon them. In a picture of grace, Joseph reminds them that it is the Lord who has orchestrated all their journeys to Egypt, ultimately to redeem His people from starvation.

In this final message of the series, Pastor Craig Turnbull walks us through Genesis 50:15–26, where Joseph responds not with revenge—but with a stunning vision of God’s mercy and sovereignty. Even after everything the brothers did to him, Joseph assures them of his forgiveness, reveals God’s hand in their suffering, and speaks of a future hope in God’s greater redemption still to come.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Redemption transforms fear into forgiveness: once restored, there is no need to return to guilt and shame.

    • Redemption transforms pain into comfort: even what others meant for harm, God intends for good.

    • Redemption transforms promises into hope: Joseph anchors the people’s future in God’s faithfulness and presence.

God’s perfect redemption not only frees us from guilt but turns suffering into purpose and future pain into confident hope. Jesus is our Redeemer, and like Joseph, His story points us to a greater story—where all things will be made new.

WEEK 8 | HIS RESTORATION IS PERFECTJoseph: In God’s HandsBeholding the Perfect Sovereignty of God

Joseph cannot contain his emotions any longer. After Judah’s confession and willingness to stand in Benjamin’s place (chapter 44), Joseph reveals himself to his brothers in dramatic fashion. Tears flood his eyes as he expresses his forgiveness to them. Even more astonishing, he reveals his belief that this entire trial has been for the Lord to place Joseph in Egypt and so rescue his family from this very famine. As this plan begins to be seen more clearly by them all, the perfect restoration of the Lord begins to shine in brilliance!

This week, Pastor Craig walks us through Genesis 45 as Joseph finally reveals his identity and extends forgiveness to his brothers. It’s a powerful reminder that God doesn’t just restore—He restores perfectly. After years of betrayal, distance, and heartache, the broken family is united not just through circumstance, but through repentance, grace, and divine purpose.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Pain isn’t wasted—God uses it to transform hearts and reveal His plan.

    • True restoration begins with embracing God’s sovereignty in our suffering.

    • Forgiveness is not pretending the offense didn’t happen—it’s choosing not to let it control us.

    • When restoration comes, so does abundance, above and beyond what we deserve.

    • “The Son is alive... and we will get to see Him.”

Whether you're walking through relational brokenness, stuck in past hurt, or waiting on God to redeem a painful chapter of your life, this message reminds us that His restoration is complete, intentional, and always perfect.

WEEK 7: HIS PLANS ARE PERFECT
    Joseph: In God’s Hands
Beholding the Perfect Sovereignty of God

As the brothers leave Egypt, Joseph sets his trap in motion. He fills their bags with grain and secretly returns their payment, then hides his silver cup in Benjamin’s sack. When Joseph’s servants catch up with them, the cup is quickly discovered, and fear grips the brothers. However, as Judah pleads with Joseph, the Lord reveals an astonishing transformation, orchestrated through His own meticulous plan: namely the grief for their past sins, and the potential consequences now has finally led the brothers into genuine repentance.

In Genesis 44, Pastor Craig unpacks how God’s discipline is never aimless. Even in confrontation, God’s goal is restoration. As Judah steps forward to offer his own life for Benjamin’s, we catch a glimpse of gospel mercy in action—one brother standing in for another. What once was a dysfunctional, jealous family now begins to look like a people softened by grief, humbled by mercy, and finally ready to walk in unity.

    Key Takeaways:

    • God uses disruption to produce transformation.

    • Genuine repentance often starts with personal crisis.

    • True leadership begins when we offer ourselves for others.

    • God’s perfect plans can bring painful pasts into redemptive light.

    • What the enemy meant for harm, God uses to reshape hearts.

  • Joseph - In God's Hands | Week 6

WEEK 6: HIS MERCY IS PERFECT
    Joseph: In God’s Hands
Beholding the Perfect Sovereignty of God

As the famine worsens, the need for the brothers to return to Egypt—and take Benjamin with them—becomes urgent. With Judah’s guarantee, Jacob’s sons finally head back to Egypt, where they once again face “the man,” the now-exalted Joseph. He invites them into his home for a feast, and strange details begin to surface: their previous food supply has been mysteriously paid for, and Benjamin is given five times the portion of the others. God's peculiar mercy is moving.

In this week’s message from Genesis 43, we begin to see true heart change. Judah steps up. The brothers return humbled. And Joseph responds with surprising kindness. Instead of payback, they encounter mercy. A mercy that isn’t earned—but freely given.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Mercy meets us in our lowest places.

    • God doesn’t just correct—He restores.

    • Judah’s leadership marks a turning point in this fractured family.

    • Joseph’s mercy foreshadows the mercy we receive in Jesus Christ.
