今天我们要讲的故事是皮普和波西系列之《可怕的怪物》~

It was a rainy day 

这是一个下着雨的日子

and Posy was a little bit bored.

Posy呆在屋里觉得有点无聊。

She decided to do some cooking.

于是她决定做点儿好吃的。

In the kitchen, Posy put on her apron

在厨房里，Posy穿上了她的围裙，

and washed her hands.

还洗了洗手。

First, she took out 

the sugar

首先，

她拿出了白糖

the butter

黄油

the flour and the eggs.

还有面粉和鸡蛋。

Then she stirred everything together.

接着，她把所有的东西都搅拌到了一起。

She plopped the mixture into the paper cases.

她把搅拌好的混合物都噗噜噗噜地舀进纸做的模具里。

Then she put the tin into the oven.

然后把烤盘放进了烤箱。

Careful, Posy.

It’s hot!

Posy，小心烫！

Posy was waiting for the cakes to bake

Posy在等待蛋糕被烤好的时候，

when she heard a tap at the window.

听见了敲窗户的声音。

It was a big, furry hand!

是一只大大的毛茸茸的手！

Posy felt a little bit scared.

Posy有点害怕。

Whose hand was it?

这会是谁的手呢？

Next, there was a knock on the door!

接着，传来了敲门的声音。

“Grrr!” said a voice.

一个声音在低吼。

Posy was very scared indeed.

Posy害怕极了。

The door opened.

门打开了。

It was a monster!

是一只怪物！

“RAAAAA!” said the monster.

Posy started to cry.

Posy吓得哭了起来。

Oh, dear!

这个小可怜！

The monster came right into the house.

怪物径直走进了房子。

啊————————它要干嘛？！

咦？可是，Posy怎么没有哭了？反而还笑了起来？

But then Posy looked at the monster’s feet.

哦，原来她看见了怪物的脚。

She stopped crying.

她停止了哭泣。

“Hello, Pip,” she said.

“Hello, Posy,” said Pip.

“I’m sorry if I scared you.

“很抱歉我刚刚吓着你了。

Would you like to be a monster now?”

现在你想来当怪兽吗？”

Posy put on the costume.

Posy穿上了怪兽衣服。

“Raaa!” said Posy.

哈哈哈哈哈～

Pip laughed.

Pip and Posy went out into the garden

Pip and Posy跑到院子里，

and played until tea-time.

一直玩到了下午茶时间。

Then they had a glass of milk, 

and lots of cakes!

接下来他们一起喝了牛奶，

还吃了好多块小蛋糕呢！

Hooray!
