The Song of the Suffering Servant (Song 4 - pt 2)

Isaiah 53

This sermon walks through Isaiah 53 to show the heart of the gospel: Jesus, the innocent one, suffered in the place of the guilty. What looks like the greatest injustice in history is actually God’s loving plan for our salvation.

• Christ the Innocent: Jesus bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, though He had done no wrong. He understands our suffering because He endured it Himself.

• We the Guilty: Like wandering sheep, we turned our own way, yet God laid our iniquity on Christ.

• The Cross & The Exchange: On the cross, our sin was exchanged for His righteousness—His wounds brought us peace and healing.

• The Redeemed & The Reward: It pleased the Father to accomplish salvation through the Son. Jesus now lives forever, has many spiritual “children,” and is glorified for completing God’s will.

If you’ve never trusted Christ, receive the free gift He already paid for—don’t let it go to waste. And if you are a believer, let the cross shape everything: how you endure suffering, how you live with gratitude, and how you glorify God each day. Keep the cross at the center—not just for salvation, but for daily life.
