BAPTISTS on SermonAudio

The Lord gives his followers multiple ways to resist temptation. He is faithful and always provides a way of escape.

This sermon uses the account of Simon Peter's miraculous catch in Luke 5 to challenge believers to move beyond spiritual complacency, described as the 'kiddie pool,' and venture into the 'deep' of God's work. The central message emphasizes that launching out into the deep requires three essential qualities: faith in God's provision despite human limitations, complete surrender of personal ambitions and excuses, and a committed effort to maintain unity within the church. Through personal anecdotes and scriptural analysis, Brother Whetstone illustrates how God sustains those who trust Him, citing the example of Peter and his partners who left their livelihoods to follow Jesus. The tone is pastoral and convicting, urging the congregation to reject mediocrity and embrace a burden for the lost, recognizing that true service is available to all who are willing to step out in faith.
