Baptists on SermonAudio

Welcome to Liberty Baptist Church.

This sermon examines the historical revival under King Hezekiah as a model for contemporary spiritual renewal, emphasizing that true revival begins with the realization of sin and the reestablishment of communion with God. The message highlights the key elements of this gathering, including the compassionate acceptance of unclean worshippers, the adoration of God through joyous worship, and the necessity of confession and protracted devotion. It further explores the tangible fruits of this spiritual awakening, such as the cleansing of idolatry, the restoration of tithing and support for the priesthood, and the resulting prosperity and obedience to God's law. The preacher presents this narrative as a sovereign act of God's mercy, urging the congregation to seek a similar transformative experience that leads to holiness, unity, and a renewed commitment to serving the Lord.

Jim Domm preaches through Mark 8:36 and Mathew 6:19-21

Because God in Christ has forgiven our infinite sin debt, we must forgive others without limit lest we invite God's judgement for failing to forgive them.

This sermon examines the Sermon on the Mount, specifically focusing on Jesus' declaration that believers are the salt of the earth. The central message is a solemn warning that Christians who have lost their spiritual flavor through worldliness become useless and are destined to be cast out. The text contrasts the Beatitudes, which describe the blessed character of God's people, with the danger of becoming indistinguishable from the world. It emphasizes that believers are placed in the world not to be conformed by it, but to infuse their surroundings with the preserving and flavoring influence of God's Word. The sermon calls for self-examination to ensure that one's life reflects the covenant faithfulness of God rather than the decay of sin.
