For years, J. Cole has been teasing his (alleged) final album, The Fall Off for a 2020 release. Well 2020 came and went, and all we're left with are three tracks and a flow chart which apparently puts us solidly in The Off Season. BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

With the recent passing of MF DOOM, we learned that Madvillainy 2 is about 85% done and Stones Throw has permission to release it. Whenever that ends up happening, it will hopefully be done well and with respect. However, that does bring up the fact that we've seen quite a few posthumous releases recently from other artists.
