Baraza Hot Tea: #Us4herdialogues|Society's Roles In Menstruation.
Society’s Role in Menstruation.
US 4 HER is a programme about taking up the responsibility and acknowledging that not every girl out there can afford sanitary towels. It began as a conversation and morphed into this beautiful monthly activity. Menstrual hygiene is not only the woman’s responsibility but everyone’s, male or female. You can’t save everyone but you can help someone, so why not.
We aim to spread the love and hopefully inspire our fellow youth and humanity at large to start caring again. To be involved in each other’s lives even in the smallest ways like buying a sanitary towel.
The discussion is set on Society’s Role in Menstruation.
Where we talk about each individual’s responsibility in our communities toward ensuring that a girl gets to experience healthy menstruation and that they do not have to feel ashamed talking about it. That we should provide safe spaces for them to express themselves freely without fear of being judged. That it’s about time girls started sharing their first time with their dad’s Menstruation is a very important process, painful but still beautiful to a woman.
And understanding what roles we play in it, is key freedom.
