Many years ago in Chicago, a disc jockey/radio marketing guy came up with the idea of getting 4 or 5 local bars to chip in for a 10-second segment in a TV or radio commercial under the banner of "Starbeat Presents: What's Happening" advertising the nightlife of the city.  Of course, Duck Logic thought it was ripe for parody. It became a regular feature on the Jonathon Brandmeier WLUP AM&FM morning show.
