Barenaked ABCs - Alphabetical Barenaked Ladies Catalog

Episode 3: “A”.  Didn’t think we would literally cover the alphabet, did you?  Joke is on you.  Seriously though, we cover every Barenaked Ladies song alphabetically, and this week’s song is “A” from “Maybe You Should Drive”, BNL’s second album. In today’s episode, we will:1) do proper introductions about ourselves, since we have neglected to do that so far; 2) do alliteration galore; 3) test out our “bleep” system, and really push it; 4) and Tracy can’t get the right conjugation of “pronounce”. No “BNL” history or appearances this week.  Join us next week for “B”  (joking.  listen to the end to find out next week’s real song)

Welcome to Barenaked ABCs, where we review each Barenaked Ladies song alphabetically. What does ABCs stand for?  Alphabetical Barenaked (Ladies) Catalog, because we will cover the whole thing.  Tonight’s song is “20/20 Hindsight” from the 2017 album: Fake Nudes.

In today’s episode, we will:

Get super nerdy about bands losing a member

Explore the deepest of questions: is a band still the same band after a member leaves?

Discuss a band that isn’t really a band (Yukon Kornealius)

Welcome to The Barenaked ABC’s, a weekly podcast where we review, discuss, and rate each Barenaked Ladies song alphabetically, one by one, starting with 7 and ending with Y.  Why not Zed?  To find out, you’ll have to listen to today’s episode:

“7 8 9”

In today’s show, we will be:

* introducing the group

* discussing the song

* discussing why the band did a children’s album to begin with

* hearing my children’s opinions

* rating the song

We have some audio problems that we hope to clear up in the first couple of episodes, so “bare” with us.  There is no inclusion of a Barenaked Ladies appearance, which there will be in the future.  Also, we are missing the snippet of the song this week, so please watch the video for the song here:
