The SEC has proposed a major reform to proxy access rules related to dissident shareholders. With the comment deadline set for August 17, public companies must decide what do to in response and when.

This proxy reform panel discusses both recent reform (Rule 452 - Broker Discretionary Vote being eliminated for 2010 Proxy Season) and the proposed changes (access by dissident shareholders to the management ballot that is mailed to shareholders). Panelists include Douglas Chia, Senior Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary, Johnson & Johnson; Jeff Morgan, President and CEO of NIRI National; and Nieles Holch, Executive Director, Shareholder Communications Coalition.
