Historical conversation live from Ukraine with Baseball National Team Manager and Ukraine Baseball Federation Board member Oleg Boyko.
They discuss about the war in Ukraine, kids playing baseball, national teams traveling to other countries and how do they do all they do through this tough time.
Special thanks to ISG Baseball www.isgbaseball.com and Baseball for Good www.baseballforgood.org who for years have been helping Ukraine Baseball and continue to do so today.
This is a must listen episode. Know that whatever problems you may have in your life or baseball, may not even come close to your country being destroyed. They keep fighting, continue to do what they love, teach baseball, help kids stay focused on the game and less on the war. The solders are true heroes as Oleg and other coaches will tell you, but these baseball coaches, officials and players in our eyes also are hero's and incredible people for fighting through these imaginable times.
If you can help support them, email Peter Caliendo at [email protected] for details.
We discuss:
The war.
How are they doing?
How they get through it daily?
How they manage to Travel to other countries with their national teams in baseball and softball. How they get funding to be able to continue and travel and play.
Organizations like, ISG Baseball and Baseball for Good who help them financially, sending coaches to help and more.
Coming up project with ISG/Baseball for Good to take 50 baseball and softball Cadet players to Poland for a week of fun, games, training and more.
And so much more to this conversation.
