I am honored to share this interview with a great man that has become a dear friend to me on a personal level, but is also a dear friend to the BTOP mission. Ron Andante II is the founder of 805 Bats, the unofficial bat of Baseball Training for Older People. In this episode, we are going to get an update from Ron on his first year of bat turning. Additionally, we are going to talk about the new adventure of blogging that Ron has embarked on. Ron's blogging site, The Middle Age Amateur Ball Player, is quite the breath of fresh air. Ron is a fantastic writer and promoter of all good things related to amateur baseball. I, myself, have had the good fortune of writing as a guest blogger. I hope you enjoy the episode, but please be sure to check out the links below to support Ron, 805 Bats, and the BTOP mission.

A former professional baseball player himself, TJ Runnells is a son of legendary MLB coach and manager, Tom Runnells. Retired from playing baseball, TJ lives his passion everyday instructing children and adults in the game he has lived his entire life - baseball! Currently, TJ is the owner and operator of one of my favorite places in Los Angeles known as Baseball Central (http://www.baseballcentralla.com). Please tune in to watch and listen to TJ's journey in baseball. You might say that TJ grew up with dirt in his veins. He has watched the best baseball players in the world up close and personal since he was knee-high to a grasshopper. His enthusiasm for teaching the next generation and beyond is contagious. Enjoy the show.
Janice Yuvan (57) joins the show from Colorado. She is a 4 year collegiate athlete in the sport of softball, but her true love is baseball, which has been playing for the better part of three decades. Please listen in on this interview as we address Janice's experiences with the complexities, challenges, and even pleasant surprises of both men and women playing baseball together. Stay to the end of the episode to learn about Janice's new endeavor. Think "City Slickers."
John Linden is a 25-year veteran in the world of amateur baseball. He currently plays on in the Mid-Iowa Baseball League on four teams in all four age divisions. He currently manages a team in the 40+ division. He was inducted into the MSBL Hall of Fame in 2012; and received the MSBL Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. He is holds two MSBL World Series championships and has spent the last 13 years serving as the Mid-Iowa Baseball League league commissioner. I had the great fortune of playing on one of John's teams this past summer in Kansas City. I can't think of anyone better to discuss what it takes to be a successful manager-player in adult baseball leagues.

Dr. Eric Berg returns to kick off season two with a great discussion on Vintage Baseball. That's right! Dr. Berg still plays baseball, but not just any baseball....1858 rules-baseball. It may sound silly, but it takes a tough cookie to play baseball with no gloves. Listen in to learn more about this unique form of amateur baseball. Stay to the end to hear a funny story involving my lovely wife.
