This past week MLB Trade deadline expired and so did some legacy lineups
Chicago Cubs saw historic World Series champs players traded

• Jake Arietta's pain and realization of the end

• Trade deadline left many of us with a hangover

• Cubs: Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant,  Javy Baez & Craig Kimbrel trades.

• Did president Jed Hoyer offer reasonable extensions or merely insult players with poor insulting contracts that resulted in trades?

• Jed Hoyer's side of the story.  ". . . incredibly proud of what we accomplished, but the nature of our sport is there are cycles and we were at the end of the service time clock with these players . . . "

• Anthony Rizzo switches from Cub blue to Yankees pinstripes

• Jed Hoyer questions players sincerity in desire to stay with Cubs, "I don't know why these guys did not want to sign  . . . "

• Anthony Rizzo requests "Goldschmidt" style extension and Cubs reply with 50% of  his asking price.

• We look to Writer, Sara Sanchez, "Bleed Cubbie Blue" for some early guidance before trades. @BCB_Sara  on Twitter

• We discuss Ryan Anthony Dreyer from "On Tap Sports Net"  for Cubs fan call for Ricketts to sell the Cubs in January

• Anthony Rizzo on fire with Yankees breaking new first 6 game records

• Kris Bryant - We felt Cubs treated him poorly on service time. He should flourish with SF Giants
• Craig Kimbrel moves across town from Cubs to White Sox

• Nationals trading like an auction block - much more transparent about trading players with expiring contracts.  Max Scherzer, Brad Hand, Yan Gomes, Daniel Hudson, Kyle Schwarber, Josh Harrison,  Jon Lester

• Nationals GM, Mike Rizzo, makes difficult decisions

• Nationals did have 1.5 years remaining control of Trea Turner

• Abuse of Minor league Players continues

• USA Baseball Team in the Olympics advance
