  • #9 DEI and the Rise of the Navel-gazing Brand

In this podcast, I discuss Virgin Atlantic’s new gender-neutral uniform policy and launch commercial. I’ll examine why it’s a case study in how Diversity, Equity and Inclusion makes companies turn inward and narcissistically ponder their own brand belly buttons. The result? The customer and service becomes an afterthought, people tune-out and the brand message becomes conformist. Click below to see Virgin Atlantic’s ad:

  • #8 Cashing in on the Fat Acceptance Movement.

In this episode, I discuss how we’ve moved from body positivity, to Fat Acceptance and how brands are cashing in on this destructive trend. I’ll discuss capitalism’s amorality and its ability to magically adapt to cultural and political pressures in the pursuit of the almighty dollar. Plus, I examine how our culture has redefined love to mean blind affirmation. And finally, I explore what real love is: truth + compassion. Check out these links below to see how brands are jumping onto the Fat Acceptance bandwagon:

  • #7 No, AdAge, Creatives Shouldn't Microdose LSD and Cannabis Before Big Pitches.

In this podcast, I discuss my article “The Drugs Don’t Work”, a (much-delayed) rebuttal to Adage’s highly irresponsible article back in Oct of ‘21, entitled, “WHY CREATIVES SHOULD MICRODOSE LSD AND CANNABIS BEFORE BIG PITCHES”.

    * I tell the story of how I used substances to cope with my public speaking fears

    * I discuss why I think using substances to perform better is a trap

    * How God most often gets our attention by bringing us to our knees.

    * I offer a couple of key tips to improve your presenting - naturally

  • #6 Why Marketers Won't Stop Calling Hispanics "Latinx"

In this podcast, I discuss a recent AdAge article entitled, “Marketers, Please Stop Calling me Latinx” by Cuban-American, Diana Brooks. I talk about why I believe the article didn’t go nearly far enough in challenging “Latinx”. Also, I’ll explore what’s really behind this term (critical gender theory). Finally, we’ll highlight the hypocrisy of how the far left, who, ironically, complains about the “colonization” of other cultures by the West, is busy doing exactly that (colonizing) by imposing “Latinx” on Hispanics - via corporate DEI programs - despite the fact that Hispanics overwhelmingly reject the term.

  • #5 Should we Strive for a Color Blind Society?

*Brought to you by our friends at DEI-Mart. It’s back to school and time to shop for your unconsciously biased child. So head to DEI-Mart. Where social justice is always in fashion.

On this week’s podcast, what is racial color blindness exactly? Is a color blind society possible or even desirable? DEI, CRT & anti-racist thought leaders say no. Are they right?

What about Martin Luther King’s vision for America? Was he right when he said he hoped that one day his children might be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin? Or is Ibram X. Kendi correct when he insists that the only way to remedy past racial discrimination is to engage in intentional racial discrimination today?

And finally, I discuss what the stories from the Bible can teach us about how God sees ethnicity and color. And more importantly, we discuss the counter-intuitive way the creator evaluates people vs. how we often do.

  • #4 How to End Cancel Culture

*Brought to you by Woke Air. The most inclusive cockpit in the skies.

In this episode, I’ll talk about what fuels Cancel Culture and how we’re all often complicit in it. And, most importantly, I’ll discuss what it will take to end this cultural blight that stifles speech, instills fear and destroys lives.

I will dissect Glenn Cole’s (founder of ad agency, 72andSunny) LinkedIn post criticizing Will Smith’s slap heard ‘round the world and his immediate recanting of said post and his unfortunate apology to the ad industry mob.

We’ll also talk about what it means when Jesus says, “Whoever tries to save their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will save it” and how this relates to Cancel Culture and the growing, state-enforced woke totalitarianism that is coming for us all.

  • #3 The Equity Delusion

*Brought to you by our sponsor, DEI-Mart, for all your back to school needs. DEI-Mart. Where social justice is always in fashion.

In this episode, I discuss the dirty secret about “Equity” practices in corporations: namely, the open embrace of discrimination against people, based on their race and/or gender, all done in the name of “fairness”. Also, we’ll discuss the difference between equity and equality. And are the DEI experts right in saying “systemic racism” and sexism is always the culprit when outcomes are not perfectly equal? We’ll also explore a hard truth about inequity from Jesus, known as the Matthew Principle. Finally, I will tell you why I believe Equity-based policies are unethical and doomed to fail.

  • How Inclusion is Weaponized.

How is inclusion really playing out in corporate America? Is it creating a welcoming environment or a highly toxic and hostile workplace? Where are all these speech codes coming from? And must we affirm and celebrate everything other people believe and do to be “inclusive”? In this episode, we take a deep dive into the “I” in DEI and discover how it’s being used as tool control and destroy people. We also explore a better way forward.
