A simple update episode from Orion about what we've done with the show so far, and what we look to do with the show next!
At least it has come, the finally to our class series. The Wizard has shown its face at last! Gabe and Orion talk about this final spell casting class, but certainly not the least. We have a chat about the few main class features, have a lengthy discussion about choosing your spells, and go into the various class archetypes.

This week Gabe and Orion sit down to talk about everyone's favorite default character. The tall, grizzled, older variant human man who's on a revenge plot to kill the guy who killed both of his parents. Totally original idea by the way. They talk about the Fighter in general, then take some time to delve into the sub classes it has spanning the PHB, Xanathar's Guide, and ending with Matt Mercer's Gunslinger. We hope you enjoy.
Welcome to this week's episode of Basements & Lizards, where Gabe and Orion talk about D&D. This time we take the time to talk about everyone's favorite punching lad, the monk. We discuss our thoughts on each of its class abilities, sub classes, and where a Dungeon Master might place monks in their world.
This week, Gabe and Orion are joined by their current DM Jon and have a little chat about the wonderful world of bard-dom.

This time, Gabe and Orion sit down and talk about the newest of the official D&D classes in 5th edition, that being the Artificer. Tune in to our discussion on the features this new class brings to the table, both as a support class, but also in style. We talk about all the main class features, and delve into the very fitting archetypes offered so far from the "Eberron - Rising from the Last War" book.

This week Gabe and Orion talk about the guardians of nature, the Druid. Tune in as we chat about the intricacies of Wild Shape and other main class features, as well as talking about the sub classes spanning the Player's Handbook and Xanathar's Guide, ending with a brief discussion on some role play potential for Druids as players or their roles in a DM's world.

This week Gabe and Orion take a step back from class analysis, and enter the new player seat to go through the process of creating a character. Listen as we go over some character races, choosing classes, generating ability scores, backgrounds and basic backstory, equipment, and some basic level up processes. We used D&D Beyond to organize our characters, however it's just as easy to use purely the PHB races, classes, and their recommended process in creating a character. This episode is definitely less organized than previous episodes, so hopefully it is helpful in your character creation. This week, Gabe and Orion talk about an unofficial class *cue collective gasp*. That class being Mathew Mercer's Blood Hunter, quite possibly the only class that's more edge and goth than the rogue! Listen as we talk about the ancient somewhat forbidden magics and abilities featured in the main Blood Hunter class, delve into the esoteric powers of each of it's four archetypes, two lightning rounds, and of course some of our ideas on how you could use this in your next campaign as player or dungeon master.
