American student Cindy just arrived at her study abroad institution in Hangzhou. She walks into the office of International Education and talks to the person sitting close to the door.
What’s the confusion at the beginning? What have you learned about the two speakers? Who is at a meeting?
· liúxuéshēng留学生: overseas student
· kāihuì 开会: have a meeting; be at a meeting
· xīngfèn兴奋: excited
1. Cindy: 您好！请问，Zhèng 老师在吗？
2. 哪位郑老师？
3. Cindy: 哦，对不起，我是美国来的留学生。我找 Zhèng 文英老师。
4. 郑文英？我们这里没有郑文英老师，只有一位张文英老师。你是找张文英老师吗？
5. Cindy: 啊，对，对，我找张文英老师。对不起，我的中文不太好。
6. 没关系。不过张老师现在不在这儿。她去校长办公室开会了。
7. Cindy: 那，您知道不知道她几点回来？
8. 我不太清楚，不过她去了差不多两个钟头了，应该快要回来了。你等她一会儿吧。
9. Cindy: 好的。老师，您贵姓？
10. 哦，我不是老师。我也是这儿的学生在这个办公室工作。我叫方言，地方的方，语言的
言。
11. Cindy: 哦，方言，对不起，我搞错了。我叫 Cindy，中文名字叫文心，文化的“文“，开心的
心。 方言，你今年大几？
12. 我今年上大三。你呢？
13. Cindy: 我在美国也是大三的学生。
14. 你在美国哪个大学？
15. Cindy: 伯利亚大学。你听说过吗？
16. 哦，不好意思。没听说过。那个大学在哪儿？
17. Cindy: 在肯塔基州的东部。是一个很小的大学，只有一千六百个学生。
18. 哦，这是你第一到中国来吗？
19. Cindy: 对！所以我很兴奋。我想去很多地方。
20. 你要在中国学习多久？
21. Cindy: 四个月。我十二月回国。哦，我想去一下厕所，请问，厕所在哪儿？
22. 女厕所在二楼。
23. Cindy: 哦，谢谢。我马上回来。
