"Our identity in Christ answers the question of "Who?" We were once sinners, apart from Christ. But when we come to Christ, our identity changed. We were sinners, we were washed by the blood of Jesus, we were sanctified, and we were given a new identity - child of the Living God. Who we are in Christ is so important to understand. It is the key to living a life of assurance and power.

(1 Corinthians 15:2) He is passing this information on to you and me. There is no salvation, life, or hope available to us without the cross. And this good news story actually starts with death - the death of Jesus Christ. There is no forgiveness without the cross of Christ. Through the forgiveness he provided at the cross, we are released from sin and death and are reconciled to God.
