Mckenna Ryan is a graphic designer, a wife and a mother and for someone in such a visually stimulating business, her definition of beauty truly spoke the opposite. However, it wasn’t easy for McKenna to realize how she defined beauty. After struggling with an eating disorder for quite some time, she was forced to look at herself through the eyes of others.

She moved to Arizona all the way from the midwest and purchased her store space before even stepping foot on the Arizona dirt. She knew what she wanted, quit her corporate job, got experience working in a San Francisco boutique, and launched Local Nomad a few years later. Local Nomad believes in the slow fashion movement and wants to pass along to their customers the stories behind the goods they sell.
