  • Is it okay to connect through different ways? - Asankh Jap - Japji Sahib Podcast E17
    Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/LyN5u9YnJOE
It's not necessarily the same thing that works for everyone. Ultimately, we want to get to a place where we let go and surrender to be with Vaheguru but it can be different things take you to that place. The focus is not so much on the action itself. The whole purpose is that the grip of the ego is reducing and we are experiencing the qualities of God.
In this video, Bhai Baljit Singh discusses how certain people express their love for God in different ways. Some may express it by being more of a mother, father or friend to the world. As a receiver, when we open our heart to that, Vaheguru will always give us the love that we are seeking.

  • #239 The 3 Steps of Listening to Guru Ji | Sri Nanak Prakash Katha | Bhai Harman Singh
Guru Nanak Dev Ji highlights the 3 steps of listening. First, we must strive to be fully present and absorbed in what is being said. Second, we must accept what Guru Ji says as the truth. Lastly, we must take what Guru Ji says and follow it. The concepts of Nirgun and Sargun are also discussed.
"Sri Nanak Prakash is a detailed historical account of the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was written by Mahakavi (great poet) Bhai Santokh Singh Ji in 1824 (AD), and represents one of the most comprehensive and beautifully written accounts of Guru Ji’s life. It is usually associated as a part of the greater text known as Sri Gurpartap Suraj Granth (aka Suraj Prakash) which details the historical accounts of all 10 Guru Sahibs in poetic form. It is an ocean of bliss, knowledge and experience. It is said that if one listen to the history of the lives of all 10 Gurus through these texts with complete devotion and faith, they can reach enlightenment.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji conveys to the people at a Mela (fair) that they are ensnared by the spiritual darkness of ignorance. The prevalence of easily accessible lustful content for people of all ages is a prominent aspect of the current age of Kaljug, where we often pursue external gratification for our desires and overlook the genuine essence within.
