On Easter Monday I started my monthly shows on Brixton Radio. It was a lot of fun and while the microphone doesn't sound as polished as I would like it, it still was a great show.

While listening to some promos I discovered an EP by Solomon France. Man, this EP is something, just wasn't expecting the drop on the track 'Fall'. After obsessively playing this track for over a week, I have made it my 'track you need to know'.

So Skrillex has not 1 but 2 albums out. He dropped a surprise album yesterday, although kind of knew it was coming... Firstly some of the singles he has released leading up to 'Quest For Fire' weren't on the album, and second he hinted he was releasing 2 albums on Instagram last year. 

Anyway, the bigger question is, when he played Madison Square Garden with Four Tet and Fred Again.., who had M&S Mini Gingerbread Biscuits on their rider? Seriously I want to know!!

2022 has been another huge year for bass music, breaks is making a resurgence (although are we allowed to call it breaks), drum & bass keeps pushing the boundaries of what is dnb and what is hardcore (looking at you Dimension), and those hoover and foghorn noises are transitioning into other genres.

It's been a mad week of late sessions at the day job and writing endless documents, as I leaving where I have been since the start of the pandemic to work for a company much closer to home!!!

Which meant... I recorded this podcast in my car! at 10:30 at night, as to not wake the wife and baby.

Between the last episode and this one, life has been a weird one…

Off the back of the highs of the Morden Wharf Terrace set, by the end of the following week I had a mental crash, nothing quite like I had experienced before. I had / have Post Natal Depression and thought it had passed, but the weirdest things trigger it, and in this instance it was a song.

The latest track by Cookie Monsta, Flux Pavilion and Koven. It’s an incredible track, stunning production, haunting lyrics and even has an epic guitar riff, but yet the story behind it sent me into a spiral which I am only just recovering from.
