  • 2026-07-04 life drawing at Hastings Contemporary Gallery

    Tutor Lance Richardson, model Kim Frezel. Lance was getting us to draw negative space at first - so the spaces round the outside of the figure rather than the figure itself - then to distort and stretch the negative space; and then to draw in some squares and oblongs and use them as the negative spaces, so that the figure had to be fitted round the outside of them. And then a "normal" life drawing to finish with.
