📌In the ceremonial magic of the Golden Dawn, the premise is that “thought-forms” constructed on the astral plane will precipitate corresponding changes on the physical plane.

📌Affirmation during sleep or hypnagogic writing is one of the most powerful principles to emerge from the New Thought movement. Sleep and the hypnagogic threshold are treated as privileged access points to the “upstream” plane, whether it is referred to as the subconscious, the imagination, the astral plane, or the bardo.

📌This is a realm where the ordinary waking mind—prone to resistance or doubt—is less active. The state we find ourselves in immediately before falling asleep is considered one of these access points, as is the dream realm.

I've been obsessed with creating synthetic sounds that have features of sounds from nature, using synth patches with varying phases so each trigger sounds different and is rhythmically unstable. It reminds me of waves hitting the shore, creating ever-changing rhythms that are soothing to my ears.

This performance is semi-improvised. Every time I play this modular setup it always sounds different, so I just go with the flow.

In the bonus after-show discussion after this week's show, I mentioned that I thought we did a better job of Covid than of Climate. I was alluding to my 2020 essay The Two Economies.

The problem is we believed in Covid enough to do something but don't similarly believe in Climate, even now. Not enough to do what's really needed. To that end, I would also reference another 2020 essay, Humanity's Superpower, though I reference that one a lot, so hopefully people are getting used to my mentioning that. 😃
