Today we’re dropping a special bonus podcast episode in celebration of Batman Day!  In the early 2000s we got the opportunity to write and draw one of the great comic book heroes of the 20th century. There was tremendous excitement coupled with a dose of terror as we set our creative sights on representing this towering cultural icon in the beginning of the new millennium. 

From our first foray into the world of the Dark Knight in Batman Chronicles #21, with the Elseworlds short story, “Apocalypse Girl”, to our 8-issue series, “Batman: City of Light”, for DC Comics, we look back at creating stories about Gotham City during Y2K, and in the tragic shadow of the 911 attacks on New York City, and how we navigated the influence of these global events while writing and drawing one of our childhood heroes…The Batman!”
