Get ready to draw - Batman's saddling up and going west.

Pew! Pew! This week Batman goes west with a storyline heavily influenced by the Academy Award nominated western Shane. These days the film Shane is best known for its influence on modern western-inspired films like 2017's Logan.

1966 Batman has a complicated relationship with Mister Freeze - they could never bring an actor back to play the role more than once. This week on BATMANLAND we explore the casting of badly behaved famed director Otto Preminger who appeared as Mister Freeze in this week's two-parter.

Sitting in the BATMANLAND cave this week is Dan Barrett & Fiona Williams, joined by the SBS Channel Manager Ben Nguyen who is armed with terrible Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mister Freeze impersonations. But please, don't hold that against listening in this week.

American politics has never been more vital than the infamous 1966 Batman v Penguin mayoral race. While the Penguin runs a cynical campaign, queuing up as many babies as he can to kiss, Batman puts too much faith in the voters and not the polls. An electoral defeat is nigh for the caped crusader.
