Today, First Friday in December, Father Dan and Kerrin conclude their year long series on the Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart by discussing the twelfth promise of our Lord Jesus as given to Sister Margaret Mary Alocoque in 1673. “I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance, they shall not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.” One last quote Kerrin would like to share from Dr O’Donnell “Regarding the power of the Sacred Heart, Christ Himself has promised to bless those who humbly and fervently approach the mystery of His Heart. As St. Thomas Aquinas says in his hymn (Adoro Te Devote)
“Truth Himself speaks truly, Or there is nothing true”.
