As we continue our New Ground series this Sunday, we’ll ask the question: Are we battle-ready? How do we prepare to face the battles and challenges that are inevitable in life?

Looking at a short passage in Joshua 5:13-15, we’ll see Joshua, on the eve of setting out to conquer the great city of Jericho, encounter an unexpected person who will give him the courage and strength needed to fight against Jericho.

Only when we submit to God’s battle plan will we be battle-ready to face our Jerichos.
