| When Doing Right Goes Wrong

When doing what is right gets us treated unjustly, and even the powerful cannot save us, whom do we trust? Daniel kept praying in a situation that looked hopeless, and God revealed his power where human power failed. The cross and resurrection of Jesus show that not even suffering or death can limit God's power.

  • Writing on the Wall /

King Belshazzar did not learn from his father’s fall. He praised idols with the vessels from God’s temple and was “weighed in the balances and found wanting.” We too make idols of honor and approval, and before God we are found wanting. But Jesus passed God’s test through perfect obedience, and He gives His perfect score and His honor to all who trust in Him.

Who Built It?

Is there something in your life you quietly look at and say, "I built this"? In Daniel 4, the most powerful king on earth stood on his palace roof and said exactly that. When you are proud, the Most High humbles you; when you are humbled, He has mercy on you.
