Labels...we all deal with them. We love the positives and despise the negatives. The hard part is that the addiction to labels can overtake us, and stop being our description, and becomes our definition, our identity. In many ways, the Gospel is a label breaking mechanism, and Pastor Jim takes us through a story in John 4 that shows us the power and then escape from labels.

What if I told you to think about the sources of frustration in your life, and upon examining them, that you would find a significant portion of that frustration is due to unhealthy comparison? It's true. We buy a car and it's great until someone else has a better one. We get a raise and it's great until someone else gets a promotion. What if I told you that Jesus had some strong words to say about comparison, because it's just that dangerous. Let's look at how to BREAK away from the curse of comparison.

Our generation is known in many circles as the apathetic generation. Why is that? Sometimes, we all buy into the lie that it's easier not to care...some people mistake a lack of caring for peace, but that's hardly what peace is, that's apathy and it's an epidemic in our society. Pastor Jim takes a look at what the writer of the book of Luke has to say about apathy and how to overcome it.

We can get excited about the Resurrection in a worship service, but when we leave the worship service, do we still cheer? We should, because how to shake our struggles and burst through out barriers, all begin when Jesus walked out of the tomb. It changed the construct for us to live in victory...as the origin of the overcomer.
