Tree Party 2025 will take place on Saturday, July 26, 12-5pm at Blow Me Down Trails. . We have several opportunities for you to learn from two experts about the trees and plants that we can find when walking in the woods.

Day two is over at The Baseball For All Tournament, and the Newfoundland Select Ravens came through with a huge 8-1 win over Chicago last night! The Ravens have a record of 2 wins and 1 loss locking up a playoff spot. Jason Mosher is with the team in Reno Nevada. Jason joined Lenny by phone this morning from Reno.

The music event of the summer is back in Corner Brook for another year. Jigs & Wheels is a ten day celebration filled with terrific concerts and fun for the whole family. It all kicks off on Friday night July 25 with the festival opener on West Street. There will be live performances from The Griffins & Friends, Kacie & the Wannable Lovers, Merrymaker, Randy Matthews & Co, and the legendary Kim Mitchell. Glenda Simms is the Supervisor of Tourism with The City of Corner Brook. She drops by Bay Fm for a chat with Lenny and speaks about the concert set-up.

The MHA for Corner Brook, Gerry Byrne, won’t be seeking reelection. After nearly three decades of political life, he says at this point, it’s the right move for him. He drops by Bay Fm and speaks to Lenny Benoit and speaks about some highlights of his political career.

The Town of Pasadena is participating in the 31st Edition of Communities in Bloom in the Atlantic Population category. The community will be rated from 1 to 5 Blooms, based on the scoring obtained.

The Communities in Bloom judges, Angela Vieth from Waterloo, Ontario & Seville Kwan from Fort McMurray, Alberta, will be evaluating the Town of Pasadena on July 24-25-26 2025.

The results will be announced in Stratford, Ontario Canada from October 16th to 18th 2025. Wanda White is Director of Recreation and Community Services with The Town of Pasadena. She speaks by phone with Bay Fm's Lenny Benoit.

The Benoits Cove band is hosting their first Mawiomi on July 27th and everyone is invited to this free gathering. It gets underway noon at 103 Hillview Road in the Bay of Islands community.
