As per recent reports, Vodafone-Idea (Vi) has been consistently losing subscribers for the past two years, with 2.8M lost subscriptions in May 2023. The Government recently announced a revival package of INR 89,000 CRORE to keep the lights on at BSNL so that it can get 4G/5G allocation. This is the third package in the last 5 years taking the accumulated amount spent by the Government to 3.3 LAKH CRORE. That’s a lot of money.
