Alex Highsmith is a native to Wilmington, NC. He has always had a love for football but never had much success in the sport growing up. He went through high school experiencing losing football seasons every year. When it came to playing college football, he didn’t have much attention in his direction. UNCC was the only school to take a chance on him as a preferred walk on, and the rest is history. He went from no-star football player to an All-American football player. He was drafted to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 3rd round of this year’s draft and has recently signed a 4 year deal with the Steelers. In this episode, he will tell his story and steps on how to become a professional athlete.
