On this episode of Bakers Bantering, we recap our incredible Thanksgiving week in Chicago! With the return of Randy Orton to WWE, Derek gives us a bold prediction right out of the gates. The Missouri football dominance continues, with Mizzou and the Kansas City Chiefs notching big victories, but is Derek becoming a Philadelphia Eagles fan?! (0:45-9:54). Big shoutout to Jenna’s friend Dana and her family for inviting us to their lovely highrise with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, and for helping us navigate the brutal Chicago traffic. AEW Dynamite was an absolute blast at Wintrust Arena, and Derek got to ring the bell. He also got to meet Superstars Adam Cole (bay bay) and Mike Santana, and watch as all of the drama of the evening unfolded (9:55-29:31). On Thanksgiving, we went to a cute Christmas market at Wrigley Field and ended the evening with some of the best burgers we’ve ever had at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant, and got to meet some fans! (29:36-32:53). On Black Friday, we got to hangout with our good buddy Colt Cabana at the Pro Wrestling Tees store, and of course Derek was more interested in DVDs than t-shirts. We went back to Dana’s family’s place for some Lou Malnati’s, and Eric was enthralled by some fisherman out on the lake (32:55-39:52). Finally it was Survivor Series Saturday and we got to see our friends from the Belt Squad. The WarGames were INTENSE and we got to sit right by all the stuff that goes boom, thankfully we all had earplugs. Our boy Dominik Mysterio “power-pointed” at Jenna and Sami Zayn supposedly acknowledged Derek (39:55-1:03:16). We finish the wrestling packed episode with the Weekly Wrestling Wrap Up, where Derek makes more bold predictions that involve stirring the pot for our friend Rey Mysterio. Plus, CM Punk and Randy Orton return to RAW, and Derek has some interesting thoughts about what that might entail going forward (1:03:30-1:20:28).
