In a recent Justice Court episode (a courtroom television series) a church member brought his pastor to court claiming that the pastor scammed him of funds to buy a cow for church's 3rd year anniversary. According to the pastor, he needed the funds to fulfil his covenant with God.
Is it okay to scam a fellow human being just to fulfil a covenant you made with God? Do we create covenants with God that he isn't a part of? Will God really ask you to borrow money to fulfil a covenant to him?
