  • #22 Lessons of Lucid Dreaming: Your bag isn't as deep as you think it is

How deep is your “bag,” really?

In this episode, I use lucid dreaming as a window into one of the strangest features of the human mind: even when almost anything is possible, we tend to fall back on the same familiar patterns.

Lucid dreams can make those patterns unusually easy to notice. Even in an environment where the normal rules of reality disappear, the brain often defaults to familiar actions, expectations, and ideas. That same tendency shows up in waking life through habits and routines. As experiences become more repetitive, the brain has less novelty to encode into memory, which may help explain why stretches of adult life can seem to pass much faster in retrospect than the novelty-filled years of childhood.

We talk about why people gravitate toward routines, how novelty shapes memory and our perception of time, why childhood can feel so much longer than adulthood, and how deliberately expanding your “bag” of experiences might make your life feel richer instead of letting weeks, months, and years blur together.

Lucid dreaming might be more than a way to control your dreams. It can also reveal just how much of your waking life is running on autopilot—and what happens when you decide to break the pattern.

  • #21 The DARK side of Lucid Dreaming

Lucid dreaming is usually framed as a superpower—the ability to become conscious inside your dreams and take control. But there may be a stranger side to it.

In this episode, I break down how lucid dreaming works, how people learn to do it, and how practicing reality checks can begin to change the way you experience waking life. We explore what happens when you start questioning your memories, the stories you tell yourself about your past, and even the ordinary assumptions you make about what is “real.”

After enough time paying close attention to dreams, strange moments in everyday life can start to feel strangely dreamlike—a bizarre coincidence, an unbelievable sky, lightning in the distance, or simply noticing how surreal reality can be when you actually stop and look at it.

This isn’t about losing touch with reality. It’s about what can happen when you start examining reality with the same critical awareness you bring into a lucid dream.

The dark side of lucid dreaming might not be the dreams themselves. It might be how differently you see the world once you wake up.

  • #20 - Ai CATCH UP: Agents, new Coding, Use Cases (How to use it)

    Thanks for listening!

In this episode I discuss all the ways that I am currently using AI. In doing so I discuss AI AGENTS and how to use them (connecting them to your email, connecting them to your browser, getting them to do stuff for you remotely). I discuss how to get a website/game/shop/etc. up and running using apps like VERCEL, SUPABASE, Google Cloud, Shopify, Printful, Runway, etc.

If you feel like AI is moving quickly and you do not know where to start when catching up with all of the recent developments and how to use them. This is a great place to start!

    Thanks again.

  • #19 - Marcus Aurelius: Key Lessons from Meditations

Marcus Aurelius was one of the most powerful people in the ancient world, but his life was filled with war, plague, political instability, loss, and responsibility. During all of it, he kept writing private notes to himself about how to stay grounded, deal with difficult people, control his anger, accept what he couldn’t change, and live according to his values. Those writings eventually became Meditations, one of the most influential works of Stoic philosophy.

In this episode, I break down some of Marcus Aurelius’s biggest ideas and quotes, including the difference between what you can and can’t control, why “the obstacle becomes the way,” how our interpretation of events can create additional suffering, why remembering death can actually make life more meaningful, and why action matters more than endlessly thinking about the person you want to become. More than anything, this is an episode about how to handle setbacks, uncertainty, other people, and your own mind without letting every difficult situation throw you off course.

  • #18 - Sigmund Freud: The Psychology of Your Hidden Mind (Part 1)

In Part 1 of this deep dive into Sigmund Freud, I break down some of his most influential ideas about the human mind, including the unconscious, repression, the id, ego and superego, defense mechanisms, Freudian slips, dreams, and the possibility that we may not fully understand why we do the things that we do. Freud believed that hidden desires, fears, memories, and internal conflicts could influence our behavior without ever fully entering conscious awareness, and that idea would go on to completely reshape psychology and modern culture.

I also get into the origins of psychoanalysis, why Freud became so interested in hidden psychological causes, how he thought the mind protects itself through things like projection, rationalization and denial, and why he viewed dreams as a window into the unconscious. The episode ends as we get into Freud's theories about childhood and how early experiences can shape adult personality. Part 2 will pick up there and dive into some of his stranger and more controversial ideas, including psychosexual development, the Oedipus complex, repetition compulsion, relationships, the death drive, religion, and what Freud may actually have gotten right.
