BDFM TV

B & D watch the first season finale of American Gods and the series premiere of Krapopolis. Turns out there's a whole lot of overlap between Neil Gaiman's allegorical religious satire about immigration and Dan Harmon's fantastical political satire about ancient Greece. B & D talk about religion, spirituality and politics. Brought to you by Mechanisms!

B & D take a look at This Fool S01E02: Putasos and Rutherford Falls S01E02: Buckheart Lodge and chat about fighting, holding grudges and getting old.

We're back for another season! B & D get techno with a robot-heavy episode of Kimmy Schmidt and the 1986 pilot about a mad scientist/superhero/toy maker, The Wizard! We watch UKS S01E07: Kimmy Goes To A Party! and The Wizard S01E01: El Dorado, and then talk about technology, AI, and the near future! Is the singularity upon us? Youbetcha!

B & D watch The Good Place: S03E09 - Janet(s) and Party Down: S02E1 - Jackal Onassis Backstage Party and discuss the afterlife, charisma, being thirsty, misogyny, body switching, and what it means to be you.

B & D view "Get a Life" S1E2 ("The Prettiest Week of My Life") and "Will & Grace" S11E16 ("We Love Lucy") and then explore love languages, couple goals, the Handsome Boy Modeling School, and the power of '90s TV to introduce middle America to alt comedy (and lifestyles)!

B & D watch MASH S05E19 ("Hanky Panky") and Fishing With John S01E02 ("Tom Waits"), where John Lurie drags a reluctant Tom Waits to Jamaica to go fishing, and the soldiers of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital learn about fidelity, to get to the gritty truth about sexuality, monogamy, masculinity, friendship and the existential absurdity of almost everything!

B & D watch Big Bang Theory S03E12 - "The Psychic Vortex" , and the Bewitched pilot S01E01 - "I, Darrin, Take This Witch, Samantha" and discuss Fortune Telling, Astrology, Psychics, Witchcraft, Magic and more!

B & D watch two very different takes on technology -- Silicon Valley S01E06 ("Third-Party Insourcing") and Look Around You S02E05 ("Computers") -- and discuss intelligence, neurodivergence, A.I., social skills, being weird, compersion, nerddom, and the different types of computer programmers. This episode was brought to you by Staplers.

B & D watch Reservation Dogs S01E05: Come And Get Your Love and Freaks and Geeks S01E17: The Little Things, and then discuss shit asses, dating, freedom, trans rights, intersexuality and more!

B & D talk about BDFMs of yore and yet to come as we present, all the improvised commercials from all of our episodes. Enjoy this 2024 New Year clip show, we have many more shows to come. Thanks for listening!
