We all know how hard it can be to build a business. This is often a popular topic in entrepreneurial circles of the hardships we've tried to overcome to get our businesses to where they are today.
But imagine if you were starting a new business in a country you had only lived in for four years?
When Prosper Taruvinga arrived in Australia in 2011 he only had $75 to his name, he knew no one here and the qualifications he had earned in his home country of Zimbabwe meant nothing here including his drivers licence.
In eight short years he has gone on to build a successful digital media business and even more importantly met his wife and had two beautiful daughters. It's been a pretty eventful time for Prosper who in his first year of business married his wife, became a Dad and launched the business!
There are many layers to Prosper and in this interview we really just scratch the surface.
In our chat today we talk about how he tries to spend four hours a day reading, yes you've heard me correctly, four hours, how he has built a successful international business from his home office and what motivates and drives him to succeed.
As I work in PR I was also super interested to talk about how Prosper has successfully used PR to put himself out there and how SEO works and why it's important we understand it to make our online presence more visible.
This chat gave me so much to think about and I think it will do the same for you.
