This Sunday, we began our Church on Fire series by asking a simple but searching question: What is filling your life? Drawing from Acts 1:1–5, we were reminded that the life of Jesus cannot be lived on human strength alone—it requires an ongoing filling of the Holy Spirit. Too often, we settle for substitutes like control, comfort, or coping mechanisms instead of the power and presence God freely offers. Jesus invites us to wait with open hands, making room to be filled afresh, not for performance or hype, but for transformation. As a church, we are stepping into a year-long journey of becoming a Spirit-empowered people—rooted in identity, formed in community, and mobilized for God’s mission in the world.
