I’ve had good and bad experiences on both sides of the discussion.

Going out of your comfort zone can be seen as a dangerous situation. Our brain and body is made to keep us safe in dangerous situations. When I feel like I'm getting complacent, I look at what scares me... and find ways to add more of that into my life.

We tent to look at the 'ideal' not the 'viable'. The best way to grow your business and maximise your profits is not to break into new markets, expand to new countries and add 10 more products. No, sometimes, your best move can be to focus on your current target market and ask yourself how can I serve the low hanging fruit. Ask yourself “How can I help the people around me.” And if you are already doing that, then the next question should be, “How can I help them EVEN MORE”

You might still be in the idea phase, or you might only be doing this on the side. Or maybe you want to get paid for a passion you have, now your question is.... "Lindi can I really call this a business? I love doing this as a hobby, can this be my business?" The answer is absolutely YES and yes you can make money and do something you love.

If you are going to start your own business, you might as well do something you love. Why not start with what you are passionate about, what you enjoy spending your time on and go from there.

We were good parents. Better than the week before. It suddenly felt like we appreciated our daughter's laugh more, and yelled less. Different to other days. Today I hardly noticed the mess she made and cleaned it up before it was even an issue.

We tend to give others our best, when we give ourselves the best. We can be fully present, engaged, less irritated and happier, when we fill our own cups first.

If booking flights to go on holiday is selfish... then, fine, but you know what... I'm a better parent, wife and human being for that. I am putting myself first!
