Be Living Water

As part of our EVERY TRIBE, (denomi)NATION, & TONIGUE convention, we discussed whether we experience God more in our private prayer ties or in group settings! This conversation took a turn and ended up focusing more on how we can be better disciplined in our communal worship through fellowship, song, sacraments, foot washing, accountability, fasting, fund raising, silence &solitude, and more! How do you most experience God? Are there any times and places where His presence is more clear to you? How do we experience God in everyday life? What does experience of God mean? What does the Bible say about experiencing God? What is the spiritual discipline? What are the three traditional spiritual disciplines? What are essential spiritual disciplines? Why is prayer important on our own or in a group? And what could change if we made it a priority to do these spiritual practices in a group? Join in our conversations on our Discord Server and Facebook group!

As part of the EVERY TRIBE, (denomi)NATION, & TONGUE convention, we discuss what the Old Testament writers meant by "the heavens" and how the beings they imagined in the heavens compare to what we imagine lives up in space now! Will Rose hosts Joshua Noel of Dummy for Theology, TJ Blackwell of The Whole Church Podcast, Brandon Knight of My Seminary Life, and Christian Ashley of Let Nothing Move You! What is the point of SciFi storytelling? What was the point of Sodom and Gomorrah? How do you recognize an angel? What is God's definition of an angel? How does the Bible describe how angels look? Why did H.P. Lovecraft write about cosmic beings? Did C.S. Lewis and Steven Spielberg have the best portrayal of aliens? What would humans do if we truly encountered life on another planet? Why is it silent in space? What type of life would we most likely find first in space? Are aliens real? Would the existence of aliens disprove the Bible? What if an alien species had their own version of our Bible? We discuss it all in this one! Let us know what you think we would do if aliens made first contact with us on our website: systematicgeekology.org

As part of our EVERY TRIBE, (denomi)NATION, & TONGUE convention, we discussed the relationship between the Church and politics! Hosts Joshua Noel and TJ (Tiberius Juan) Blackwell speak with Brandon Knight of My Seminary Life and Christian Ashley of Let Nothing Move You about God's heart for His people as we engage in local politics! Does God care about politics? Why are some Churches more liberal? Should all Christians be Republicans? How should we treat other Church members who vote differently from us? What did the Bible say about Christians in politics? What is the relationship between religion and politics? How can Christians engage the current political climate better without further causing division in the Church? Should Christians vote for more gun control? Welfare programs? Can Christians disagree respectfully over how to vote on abortion even? Join in our conversations on our Discord Server and Facebook group!

To start off our "EVERY TRIBE, (denomi)NATION, & TONGUE convention", we discuss one another's podcasts and a word I received in prayer to "build the Church". What does it mean to build the Church if "the Church" is just the people of God? What is Church? Who is God? How do we go back to a place where the Church is one united body? What is the true meaning of the Church? What is the primary purpose of the Church? How can we build the people of God back up from a place of isolation and deconstruction? What is the book of Ezra-Nehemiah about? What is the point of our network? What can we accomplish together as we grow our podcasts? We discuss it all in this one! Check out all of our shows and check out the rest of the live podcasts we did during our convention on our network website: https://anazao-ministries.captivate.fm/

I am Joshua Noel and I am just one Dummy who seeks to worship God with his feeble brain! In this episode, I struggle with the idea of God's location! Can God exist both in all things and above all things? Where is God according to Bible? Where is the location of God? Where is God and heaven located? Does God have temporal and spacial parts? Does God exist in another dimension? Do multiversal theories help solve the question of God's location? Did God create everything from nothing (Ex Nihlo)? Why did the early Church fight against Atomism and the idea of the multiverse?

If you're looking for all the answers about how God relates to time, then keep looking! This episode will leave us all with even more questions about what time is and what that implies about the Divine! What is time? Did God create time? Does God have temporal parts? Is time fluid and dynamic, or is it more static? What does the Bible mean by "in the beginning" and what was God doing before that? How does gravity and relative speed effect time? Is there any standard cosmic clock, or does time vary everywhere? Can God exist without space and time? Is God's powers limited by time?

If you are looking for all the answers about who God is and what His character is like, then keep looking! Rather than giving any answers, I hope to leave us all with even more questions about the Divine! Is God male or female or non-binary? Is God "they / them"? What is God like? Is God love or Wisdom? What is Good? How does logic help us understand Biblical statements about who God is? Does creation tell us anything about God? How do we know God is even real? What can we actually know about God and why does it matter?

If you want answers to all life's biggest, theological questions, then you should find another show to listen to! This show is designed to struggle with God, relate with Him deeper, and worship Him with our minds by asking more questions! What is theology? How easy is it to define "religion", "theology", "God", "the universe", or "the Trinity"? Is God male or female? Is God a "they / them"? Is God non-binary? What do other religions believe about God? What kinds of theologies are there? What can we know about God? How do we learn about God? Has God revealed Himself to us, and if so - how?

We can worship God with our minds by pondering the things of God, who He is, and how creation relates to its Creator. If you are looking for a podcast with all the answers about God and Theology, this is not the show for you! But, if you are looking for a show that will leave you with more questions than answers about the Divine, so you can struggle to worship God better, then join me in my adventure to love God better with my feeble brain!
