Lent is meant to be a time out of time — a piece of life dedicated to rethinking all of it. It's not about giving up our adult candy or immersing ourselves in pain. Lent is about being honest with ourselves, changing what needs to change in our lives, making our world a better place, and growing into the Light.

This Sunday we make time-out-of-time in communion, prayer, song, and thinking about thinking.

This Sunday we worship in the epiphany light of Peter's words, which start with comfort, then take a sharp turn to challenge. Like church?? The Mostly Righteous will lead our singing, and share their version of REM's Losing My Religion. But you won't be lost - not with all the lamps shining in the dark places.

This Sunday we welcome The Newcomer's Choir, a welcoming, singing community who call Saint Andrew's home . The choir offers English language practice and community for newcomers and locals in the Halifax area. It's free, it's fun, and this Sunday, it's all of us.

No experience required. Just a voice (you've got one), a belief in community (it's in there somewhere), and the Holy Spirit of song (well that's just everywhere).
