Aandhi aur aahistah kya

Soz e dil ko samjhiye

Dard ya phir hai aah kya

Intekhaab ki hi to baat hai

Pagdandiyan or raasta kya

Hayaat hai sab ki apni apni

Ghafil khud se to waasta kya

Kal sub ki baat, mustaqbil kya

Yeh lamha na jiya phir jiya kya

Anjam e zeest se waaqif sab

Phir, lafz yeh hamesha kya

Sukun ki talaash saraab hai, ‘sahil’

Pal pal ki baat, do rozaah kya
