Hearing these words over and over in my head led me to God's Word.  Why do we run like crazy people, why to we put unneeded pressure on ourselves, our children, and those around us? I know I might step on some toes but do we want to be a Martha or a Mary?  Where do we want to be? At our Lord's feet or constantly trying to outwork, outdo, and outrun the world's expectation when only one person needs to be pleased.....

A story about a teacher and her creative way to teach her students about appreciating the freedoms they have to sit and learn at their desk prompted me to be reminded of the appreciation we should have that we can sit at God's Table.

Today my interview showcases my aunt, Wilda Perkins.  She shares with us about how even though she never had children of her own, she was still able to be like a mom to many people over the years, including my brother and me.

Talking with my son about his plans to build his roof first in a game he was playing brought to mind two scriptures that show yes...your foundation comes first but I believe God did start with a roof. :). Listen and see why.
