"I've got you covered!" A phrase by Pastor Stacey that he delivers to his wife when life gets busy. As Pastor Stacey Harris and Eli Tilley continue through the ways of love in I Corinthians 13, they continue in verse 7 today. Paul tells us that love bears, believes, hopes, and endures ALL things. As life gets busy and stressful throughout the many seasons we face, we must keep our relationships protected and safe from the enemy. Jesus Christ keeps no record of our sin or wrong, as He was the ultimate sacrifice for us! I Corinthians 13:5 says that love does not keep an account of a wrong suffered. Welcome to Be The Man! Today, Pastor Stacey Harris and Eli Tilley continue through I Corinthians 13, with verse 5 this week, on love being selfless, and not self-seeking. Be mindful of how you show respect to your spouse, and how your spouse is respecting you. Love does NOT insist on its own way. Love is patience and kind, but not boastful, demanding, or selfish. Being selfless is a concept that can take us far with our spouses, in our homes, in ministry, and in life in general. Understanding our job description as the man of the household means to be selfless, and putting your wife and family before yourself. The greatest model we have for this is Jesus Christ, as He gave Himself as a ransom for His Bride, us, His children and people, the Church.

Love is patient, kind, and does not BRAG! As Pastor Stacey Harris and Eli Tilley continue through I Corinthians chapter 13, the next topic in verse 4 is that love does not envy or boast. As Paul gives some Holy Spirit inspired principles and attributes of love, he mentions how love does not envy or boast, and in some translations state, it is not proud or prideful.
